The theme of the lesson: Treasure

The aims of the lesson:

Educational: to teach the use of the 3rd person present simple. .

Developing: to develop the children’s spoken and listening fluency or  to develop the children’s spoken and listening fluency

to develop the pupil’s habit of the oral speech, introducing, to develop understanding, listening

Bringing-up: to bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to creat an English atmosphere in the classroom.

The type of the lesson:  New lesson

Methods of teaching: explonatation,  question- answer

They think there’s (treasure) near here.

The treasure comes from (an old ship)

Treasure is in their (garden)*!

There’s a photograph of a stone in our( garden)

. ‘think of the treasure,’ says the girl.


Let’s make a code wheel, with its help we can know where is the treasure ?

  1. Look a boy and girl have got a newspaper . they are reading a story in the newspaper. “Look at this’, the girl says. “they think there’s treasure near here.’
  2. The treasure comes from an old ship. There’s a photograph of a stone in our garden! This means that the treasure is in their garden!
  3. ‘Come on!’ says the girl. Let’s go and see.
  4. They run into the garden and look! Yes that’s the stone in the newspaper. ‘yes, this is it,’ says the boy. ‘let’s dig!’ says the girl.
  5. They dig and dig and dig. ‘This is hard work’ says the boy. ‘think of the treasure,’ says the girl.
  6. Suddenly they find something! What’s that? Says the girl. ‘it’s a pot. There’s something inside it,’ says the boy. What do you think it is?
  7. They take something out of the pot. It’s a message. ‘oh, no!’ they say. ‘it’s a message in code! What does it say?’ can you help them? What does the message say? Use your code wheels and find out
