The theme: “Teenagers and their idols of music. Elvis Presley”

 

The aims of the lesson: • Developing — to develop pupils’ abilities of speaking, listening, reading and writing, memory and attention development.

  • Educational – to introduce pupils with the new theme and new words; to practice using the new words in speech; to speak about Elvis Presley, about his perfomances; improving knowledge on the theme.
  • Bringing up – to bring up pupils to love music and respect interests of different people; to impart interest of English studying

Additional materials: a book, an active board, cards, presentation, video.

  1. Organization moment.

Good morning my dear pupils! I’m very glad to see you. How are you today?

Elvis Presley is an idol of millions people. He is the king of rock and roll. He is one of the biggest stars of 20th century.

  • Idol is a person who is idolized, he or his work is worshiped. And you want to be like he.
