Мақсаты:

to teach pupils to express their opinion about mass media

to practise giving opinions, agreeing and disagreeing

to bring up to be polite with each other

to develop pupils’ self working skills, speaking habits

to develop pupils’ interests in learning English

to bring up love and respect to the native  and foreign languages

Оқу нәтижесі:

pupils learn to say their own opinions and to respect other opinions

1. Greeting; to ask about pupil’s mood.

Good morning, pupils! How are you today? Who’s on duty today? Who’ absent?

2. Dividing into the groups(pictures, connecting with mass media)

Group1, Group2, Group 3

Pupils greet the pupils and share their minds about their mood.

Good morning, teacher! S1: I’m fine today. S2:  Good!  S3: Wonderful!

Pupils take pictures, concerning to the theme and find the group.

Warm-up  10 min.

Presentation  5 min.

Today we’ll be working with the text » Mass media». Please, think over and give words which come to your mind when you hear the word «media». Read the text and discuss it in groups: part 1-group 1, part 2-group 2, part 3-group 3.

Offer new words: viewer-көрермен

Pupils work in groups of 4, discuss the task and say their own opinions,

Pupils listen and repeat after the teacher

Write down the words in their vocabulary notebooks

Offer questions for discussion:

Students  are given the task to think of questions on the given theme. They may be thin, simple, based on definite facts and thick, complicated, which need full answers and arguments, for example:

1. What belongs to mass media?

2. How do we get information that we need?

3. What information can be found in mass media?

4. What kind of programmes do Discovery Channels broadcast?

5. What radio music programmes do you know?

6. What TV programmes do your parents prefer?

Pupils discuss the questions in groups, say their opinions

Filling  in Venn  diagram:

TV, radio, newspapers

In common- kinds of media

Differences- how people use them

Production: 5 min.

Offer to make posters, concerning to the theme, then pupils discuss the problem in pairs and groups and defend their posters.

Offer  students to give marks each other

Conclusion: 5 min.

1. Give the English equivalents to the following:

Pupils give English equivalents of these sentences. If it is necessary they use the text.
